Hi!
I'm planning on getting this laptop.
-----------------------------------------------

4th Generation Intel Core i7-4700MQ Processor (2.40GHz 1600MHz 6MB)
Windows 8.1 64
NVIDIA GeForce GT755M GDDR5 2GB
8.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3L SDRAM 1600 MHz
1TB Hybrid 5400 RPM + 8GB SSHD
6 Cell 72 Watt Hour Lithium-Ion
Intel 7260 b/g/n Wireless (2x2 BGN)
15.6" FHD LED Glossy (1920x1080)

I was just wondering what sought of games could this play and at what settings. Also, how could I optimize this laptop for gaming?

Thanks!

I would say you could probably play newer games (2013/early 2014) at 50-60 fps on medium settings, maybe at around 20-30 fps on high. Older games it should be able to handle well at high settings.

I wouldn't really say that you can optimise a laptop for gaming as the two, generally, dont go all that great together (at least in the long term). However, if there are any options available to improve heat dissipation then that is definitely worth doing as laptops overheating, and potentially damaging the graphics chip, is a fairly common problem if you are using it to game regularly.

I think it could run Battlefield 4 at 40+ FPS on 720p Medium/High mix of settings. You really can't optimize a laptop for gaming. You can update the drivers, close everything in the background and use game booster or something like that but a laptop isn't meant for gaming.

I think it can even do high on 720p with more than 40 FPS.
