hello! so i have a gt430 in my pc and now i decided its time to upgrade.

Im thinking of getting a gtx 680. But im not sure if my 450w PSU will be enough.

Other specs:
-i3 2120 3.3Ghz
-4gb of ram
-Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2 motherboard (psi express 2.0)

Depends entirely on what make and model of 450w PSU it is. a decent 450w will be enough, but a cheap crap one wont.

No - it won't. You'll need at least 38A on a 12V rail and 550W min psu.

And a good one per - http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-su...

eg Seasonic 620, XFX 650, Antec HCG 620M

Totally untrue. A good 450w will run a GTX 680 no problem.

There's nothing particular there. In-Win I gather. Model IP-S450BQ3-3?

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-su...

Lists In Win psus in Tier 5 - Replace Immediately with the comment 'In win (Despite some reputable reviews, they are known to fail quickly)'

So that's a big NO!!! Try one of the ones I suggested.

The GTX 680 draws around 17amps, so in theory you should be fine (according to the specs), however im not familiar with that brand, so I dont know how good it is.

Many will over state how much you need because many PSUs are crap. But a good 450 can run a i7 + 780 Ti no problem.
