I have an EVGA supernova nex 750 b power supply that's powering my FX-6300 and my 2 EVGA gtx 660 cards and I'm looking at upgrading to a FX-8350 and 3 EVGA gtx 760 superclocked graphics cards so I was curious about whether or not my power supply would be enough because I've heard that the gtx 760 has a max power consumption of 170 watts per card but I dont know if that's completely true so I just need to know whether my power supply will do the job or if I should consider upgrading to a 1000 watt power supply. Any help is appreciated, thanks

You probably should look at a good 1000watt or more PSU. Per the following link the recommended power for a system with 3 GTX 760's in SLI is 900Watts.

The EVGA SupernovaP2 1000w received an excellent review at JohnnyGuru:

But any reputable powersupply in that power range should be fine: Corsair (AX), Antec, Seasonic, XFX.
You might get away with your 750 PSU, perhaps even for a lengthy time, but when you are doing seriously hard gaming it is really going to have to work harder then a larger unit, thereby creating more heat, possibly more noise, and in the long run its lifetime may be shortened.

I'm not looking at overclocking and I would get a 290x but I'm getting a super low price on the cards so I just decided to get them instead of something in the r9 series

Better a little too much power then not enough or just enough.

Assuming the power supply you have is a year or more old, and 3 760s will run around 700w or more, that's definitely not a good idea, and your motherboard most likely doesn't even support 3-way SLI.

The 1000P2 is a good power supply, but overpriced when you can get the 1000G2 for $40 cheaper.

Sir. SLI is Nividia like GTX ***. Radeons like the r9 *** or any radeon 7700 or w/e use crossfire.
