WD Black Dual Drive Problems

I currently have a laptop with a WD Black Dual Drive, which is 120gb ssd and 1tb hdd. However, any games I store on the hdd lag terribly whenever a new model or effect is introduced to the game, almost as though it is being loaded up. Once it has loaded the model once, it won't lag again any time it appears. In rpg games, where new models nad effects are constantly introduced, this is annoying and timeconsuming. Is there any reason it is doing this and, if so, how do I prevent it? Thank you in advance.

all of them if they are on the hdd. They work perfectly on the ssd. By lag i mean that, if a new piece of information or effect comes in then the game will jam for 1-2 secs before continuing normally. THis would be fine but when a lot of stuff is constantly being introduced its quite annoying

Yeah, i have the same issue on my hdd. I can play my games fine, but at some points it just get a lagspike for 1-2 sec, sometimes once every min or more, depending on what game i play. I did not have this issue before i bought this and only happened after i moved all of my games from my other hdd to this one.
Mostly noticeable i've noticed on the one with lowest graphics (like Dragon Nest), it lagspikes every 10 sec in combat, specially in the beginning of fights, it really gets on my nerves... :/

anybody know the solution for this ? I am having the same issue and its getting to the point where i want to buy a new hd. The games on the ssd drive are fine but its such a small amount of space i can really only have one game on there at a time.

Power settings? Perhaps its idling between rendering. Esp if you say its fine if the game is on the SSD.
Use a 1tb WD Black myself for games, although its a desktop not a laptop. Runs fine.

Well, under normal circumstances, yes. Issue is that everything stops working everytime it loads something new on the screen (eg a new part of a zone, a new item etc.) for 1-2 sec, every single time.
I've moved back my games to the old HDD and works perfectly fine there. I suppose i'll just have my movies on the extra space :/
