GTX 770 with 500W PSU

Hello, would I be safe putting a GTX 770 into my computer? Would a GTX 760 be a better choice?
Case- Raidmax Smilodon (2 80mm fans, 2 120mm Fans).
CPU- Intel Core i5 4670k not over-clocked.
Mobo- Asrock Z87 killer.
Ram- 8GB Vulcan 1600mhz Ram (2x4GB)
HDD- 1TB WD Blue.
SSD- Sandisk Ultra Plus 256gb.
PSU- CX500.
OS- Windows 7.

A GeForce GTX 770 needs 42 amps on the 12v rail and a 600 watt power supply.

The CX500 only has 38 amps on the 12v rail and is NOT sufficient to
run a 770.

Stay with the 760.

the cx is not generally considered very high quality... the 770 would be very hard on that PSU.

the 760 is safer bet
