Hi, I have a desktop PC currently connected to my living room TV and operated through a wireless keyboard. This setup is perfectly fine for casual browsing and gaming, but not very good for working.
I am looking for a display (touchscreen or not) that I can connect wirelessly to my PC so I can use it together with my wireless keyboard to form some sort of a "brainless laptop" when I need to do some real work sitting at the table.
Even better if there was a combo screen + keyboard attached to each other.
I don't need the screen to be the latest 4K (I would imagine it would be quite difficult to transfer all that data wirelessly anyway). A standard 15" with 1280x800 resolution would do.
It seems a fairly trivial request to me, but I can't seem to find anything of that sort on sale.
Any idea?
P.S. I suppose the standard objection would be "why didn't you just buy a laptop?". I really like the fact that I can easily upgrade my desktop PC. Also to get a laptop with the same performance of my desktop I would have to spend a fortune.

A tablet with remote access software would work for this. Would act basically like a giant remote control with a display. Used wither with an onscreen, bluetoth or dock keyboard (for those tablets that have the keyboard clip in option) should be what you are looking for.
