Put simply, I have two devices that have sleeved cables. My mouse (ROG GX1000 Eagle Eye), and my headset (Razer 7.1 Taimat). Both of which, when shipped, were either folded or wrapped up. The problem with this, is that the cords have issues now. The mouse cable crinkles like it's running in a zigzag to confuse a T-Rex, and the headset TWISTS. It literally twists itself into loops.
Does anyone have a way to get the cables to just stay straight? It's very annoying.

Solution
thats very common as often the wires are either coiled and wired together or wrapped in a figure 8 and wired together when shipped.

typically i just grab a short section and work it like i'm working some sandpaper on the desk edge albiet not with alot of force. i then do this for the entire cable. that normally straightens the cable out. my razer deathadder mouse was the same way originally but thats been straight for years.

just be careful. if you jerk it or use too much force you could damage the cables. you could also do this with your hands but the friction from braided cable is going to give you brushburn. for non braided cable i just pull them through my hand to work the kinks out.

its not so much the sleeving which has a...

its not so much the sleeving which has a memory of the shipping shape but the wire inside. you just need to work it out and eventually it will stay straight.
