Hey, I'm new to the forums Anyways i was at goodwill to look for hobby grade rc cars. I didn't find any so i went to the electronics section. Looking around only to find a tower pc for 60 bucks! WOW i thought to myself and grabbed it in a heart beat. I went home a nd opened it to find a psu, intel core 2 duo and heatsink fan, asus p5k3 mobo, 1gb corsair platinum series stick, cd rom and a ultra case. The only thing thats missing is a gpu. Can anyone recommend a gpu that wont be bottle necked by my cpu? I'll my psu wattage soon. Thanks and carry on!

None. Like everyone has said, it's out of date. :) , this is your socket; LGA 775

This will never be even a half decent gaming machine unless you do a complete overhaul, in which case again, you may aswell just build brand new.

You can reuse the computer in various ways as already listed which would make good use of it.

Personally, I don't think you'll be doing any gaming on it at all, maybe low-medium settings; I'd rather save up and start brand new. Even a 750ti will bottleneck this so I don't find it worth it if you can't even reuse the GPU. It all depends on what games you want to play.

Your mobo
DDR3 1333/1066/800
The chipset officially supports the memory frequency up to DDR3 1066MHz. Tuned by ASUS Super Memspeed Technology, this motherboard natively supports up to DDR3 1333MHz

You'd need a new PSU, GPU, RAM, HDD and OS, then who knows how long a 650 and your core 2 duo will stay relevant.

I'd install linux on it and be happy with the find :p (that's just me)
