Describe your thread:??:I installed 24gig DDR3 RAM when I built my pc, with Win 7 Home Premium. I noticed that it was only using 16gig of the 24gig I installed, which was the maximum Home Premium could use......... however if you upgrade to Ultimate it will use all of your 24gig RAM......stated the Microsoft rep.............well I upgraded and still only using 16gig.....thanks for any help.

Solution
Win 7 Ultimate X64 edition supports <192GB> of ram also professional version supports <192GB> but as you mentioned please do not upgrade from home pre to ultimate do a clean format reserve a space of at least 200 mb as system reserved by partitioning and install new OS. U can take backup and then load ur pc again. It will definitely work.

<Mod Edit: Corrected incorrect memory limits>
