Hello!

I have a GTX 570 Gainward Phantom, and have been running a test using FurMark at 100% load and my temp is around the 98-101 degrees. What I can see from others who have these cards, it is very high when the card have 3 fans and they all run 100%. It reaces 100 degrees in about 5 seconds.

I have cleaned the entire card, fans, cooling fins, everything! Have also changed the thermal paste about 5 times now and the temperature has not changed. Also tried taking the side off. Idle temp is around 40 degrees.

Can someone help?

Could be the default fan profile just isn't handling the heat anymore, try using MSI Afterburner or something similar to see how the fans are behaving, adjust them if they're not ramping up like they should at higher temps

Edit: Just re-read your post, you say they're running at 100%, that's pretty strange for it to get so hot under those circumstances :/
Idle of 40 is normal, but even a reference blower fan wouldn't have it higher than 95 from my experience.

Sorry my fault! They are not running 100% all the time, they increase in speed as the temperature raises. I used Cooler Master High Performance thermal paste, but I read something about to avoid the white thermal paste?

Yeah the white paste is pretty awful, but Cooler Master high performance should be fine. Try ramping the fans to a permanant max and running your benchmark, see what happens.

Tried it, and same result! :( Could it be a bad sensor?

Shouldn't think so but the only way to know is to get a temp probe on the card and verify it for yourself. Have you tried reading the temp with a diff prog? HWMonitor is usually right.

HWMonitor is the same..
The graphics in FurMark starts to lag when it reacese 100 degrees

Just bought some MX-2 paste and applied it, and temps are now fine! max 70 degrees and 30 idle!
Think im just gonna throw out my cooler master paste.. its useless!

Thanks for the help, Verindae!
