Hi All,

I'm currently looking to buy a new keyboard. The one I have now is a Razer Lycosa and it is the worst keyboard I have ever owned (that includes $5 keyboards btw). The keys are very hard to press and it gets stuck sometimes. Keyboard sometimes also stops functioning and I have to unplug and re-plug it.

Mechanical/Non-mechanical doesn't matter. I play a wide genre of games, but mostly RPG's.
Cost is not a factor, as long as it is worth the price.

Any recommendations?

Here is a list of all the ones I have tried and liked lots:
Logitech G19
CM Storm QuickFire Stealth
Steelseries Apex
Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth
Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E Series

Don't think badly of Razer just cos of one keyboard. Out of this list either the Blackwidow or the QuickFire are the best IMO.

Look into them to see what fits your needs :D

One of the best non-mechanical is the Sidewinderx4, check out the reviews on it. 3 year warranty, macros, backlit and good quality for $50.

For a mechanical, the k70 is a pretty nice choice to :)
I have the k95 and enjoy it very much.

I personally would go with a mechanical simply for how good it feels to press compared to a rubber dome switch one but, that is for you to decide. For about 80 bucks I picked up the thermaltake Poseidon and |'m loving it. Only thing is if the keyboard is level with your arms you might want to consider a keyboard wrist rest because it is a little off the ground.

Unfortunately, I can only find the G19, Apex and BlackWidow in my current location. I am planning on ordering some items from Amazon for international shipping so I can include these if needed. However, warranty will be useless.

Not all of these are mechanical, but I'm listing all available gaming keyboards:

Razer: All products
Logitech: Most products incl G19, G710, G510
SteelSeries: Shift, 7G, 6Gv2, Merc Stealth, Apex, Apex RAW
E-Blue: Some models, not sure which.
Roccat: Some models, not sure which.
Corsair: K65, K50, K30
Genius: Imperator Pro

I think that covers all of them. If it's not listed I can't find them.
(Mad Catz, Thermaltake, Coolermaster, etc.)

I'd get the k65 then. Logitech are meh and Razer...well I don't think they are worth the price.

Apex RAW would be the one I'd pick for a cheap non-mechanical. The Apex just looks cool with all those colours but I find it overpriced for a rubberdome :p

Though there is a nice Roccat non-mechanical, just can't remember the name of it. Blue backlit, some macros etc; looked nice.
