Someone please tell me !!!!!

I'd made my mind to get FX 6350 but after seeing these results made me super confused.

Please guys, help a fellow gamer.

Negative...games are more threaded these days. I am a game developer, and I would not run an i3 in any rig...it bogs down too easily. Not worth the waste of money. i3 for gaming is an expensive paper weight unless you only play LoL or something like that...

EDIT: A GTX 760? LOL...there are better cards for the money out right now...check Tom's best buys under $200. You get more card from AMD for the same money...and the drivers are amazing these days. You can customize everything down to the fan settings on the GPU. NVidia drivers have all this bloatware and do not give you near the level of control.

I guess you are also going to buy a motherboard to pair with the new CPU, so in that case, I think that the i5 4440 is just a little step ahead in money and it will give you better perfomance in general than any of the cpu's you are looking at. I am also looking to get a new CPU + MB and it seems that an i5 is the best option, even if you have to cut a little bit in the $ for the Motherboard.

The FX 6300 does not bottleneck the R9-290X, a 770 wishes it was half the card the 290X is...seriously...anandtech is a bit biased...this is common knowledge...

The i3-4340 is stronger than the FX-6350. It directly competes with the FX-8350, and often wins.

Even in Crysis 3, arguably the most heavily multithreaded game, the i3-4340 beats an FX-8350, let alone a 6350.

Check my links. The i3-4340 does beat an FX-8350 in Crysis 3.

In Crysis 3, the FX 8350 > i7-3770k, so you are saying i3-4340 > 3770k...no thanks...I will take the benchmarks from a more reliable site...Tom's hardware shows that the 8350 is at least on par with any i5...

And those benches show that the 8350 is about equal to the IB i5. But do you even notice the minimum frames? 21? It's almost as bad as the i3-3220. That low of a minimum frames is going to drop your enjoyability by a lot. With the i3 its kind of expected, but your so called God of a Octacore should be doing much better, shouldn't it? The new generation of i3s trounces your beloved 8350.

And have you noticed that you're comparing your godlike AMD CPU to Ivy Bridge CPUs? We're in 2014, and we're on Devil's Canyon. Your CPUs aren't even relevant anymoer.

Tom's Hardware is more accurate? Looool. They don't even have their PSU tier list set up correctly half the time.
My links are accurate. The chart you posted is crap. Provably crap. I got better FPS on the old Phenom II 955 I just replaced in Crysis 3 than it says a Phenom II 965 would get. That chart you posted is so wrong it's laughable.

If tom's hardware is crap, and you are posting on their forums, perhaps you should take your crap opinion and go elsewhere...

Thanks guys. I went with i3 4340 with Asrock Z97 Extreme4 mobo(Combo deal). Upgrade plans will be Broadwell i5 and 2 GTX 760.

and @8350rocks , I already own GTX 760, R9 280 is still bit costly than 760 in my country though :(
Also Watchdogs run better on NV cards

Watchdogs is an AMD Gaming Evolved title...I think you should look at more numbers, it is mantle enabled.
