Strange Issue with my GTX 770

Hello guys,

I have a bit of a problem with my new Palit Jetstream GTX770 card in the fact that while it plays games fine, when it maxes out on power usage my system crashes and drops from 100fps in game to 0.6....

I have tried drivers, virus scan etc but to no avail!

My specs:

Intel Xeon E3 1230v3
GTX 770 Jetstream @ 1150mhz
16GB DDR3 1600 MHZ RAM
Asus Maximus VII Ranger Mobo
Corsair CX600w PSU
1TB HDD

Any ideas? I was considering PSU problems but the GTX 770 states minimum of 600w but obviously I really don't want to buy another! If not, faulty GPU?

Thanks!

check temps on ur cpu and gpu, if u overclocked any, return them to default values.
also u can try googling the default clocks for a reference model gtx 770 and set urs to them.
are all the power cables plugged correctly, u can also try moving it to another pci-e slot.

How old is that cx? The cx series use cheap caps and in my experience have about a 1 yr life expectancy.

Both the GPU and CPU are running at good temps well within normal operating range... I will try downclocking to the normal clock speed and if not I will take the system apart and have a poke around.

You just may have got a bad one. Still it's not a psu I would suggest using unless you absolutely have to.

Is there a way of testing this?
