Did you format the hard drive?

the 1TB drive has been used for a few years as storage, I've swapped it between computers before and never had a problem with the computer detecting it. it shouldn't need to be formatted.

create a new partition (if needed) on the 1TB and format it.

Right click on Computer and click Manage. Go to disk management, you should see your 1TB HDD there, you can right click on it and assign it a drive letter and you should be able to access it. (this is only if it cant remember its drive letter)

If it's showing up in device manager, but you're unable to access it - it probably needs to be formatted. The data may have become corrupted.
