It's been like this ever since I got this pc. So no new software could have done this. It came and was crashing the second I got on.

I've done all of that multiple times. I'm running memtest now (16gb) how long should I let that run?

Hey don't worry! I bought some sweet upgrades that I would have purchased in the future anyways! It's perfectly fine! If this fixes it, everything should be alright! :) do you have any suggestions on some fast gaming ram? (preferably 16gb)

Hmm, that is a kit of 2x8 Gbs. when choosing ram there are at least 3 things you have to pay in mind:
Clock speed Mhz
CAS latency
Voltage required for it to run at the spec speed.
Good ram will have high clock speed and low CAS, voltage required.
Something like this
2400Mhz CAS 10/2133Mhz CAS 9/1866Mhz CAS 8/1600Mhz CAS 7 @1.5v or lower.
That is for top tier RAM (Most expensive)
2400Mhz CAS 11/2133Mhz CAS 10/1866Mhz CAS 9/1600Mhz CAS 8 @1.5v~1.65v
That is for mainstream performance. I'd recommend to avoid any ram with higher cas than the mentioned above.
And the most important factor is how much are you willing to spend on it.

1600Mhz cas 9, so just average.

That one is better IMO.
