So i have a quick question and my ram. So i originally bought a 4gb stick of Gskill Rip Jaws X. Well I got tried of just having 4gb on my machine running wins 7 64 bit with all my steam apps anti virus ext. that and my gtx 770 didnt seem to like the low ram. I didnt want to wait on newegg to ship me another 4gb so i went to best by and bought 8gb of corsair vengeance. I was wanting to know if i can use my gksill chip with my corsair cuz i feel like my gksill is being wasted just sitting here.

The model of the corsair ram is: CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B
And the gskill model is: F3-12800CL9S-4GBXL

Im just worried about messing up my mobo or somthing.

My build:
600w EVGA 600B Bronze Plus PSU
AMD FX6300
Nvidia GTX 770
8GB Corsair Vengeance
Windows 7 64Bit

+1 The specs are what you are more concerned about. Being the same you have no issues here. If they were mismatched, you would "scale down" to the lower specs between the two.

You have 3 4gb sticks.

I would install the corsair sticks first, one in each channel.
Your motherboard manual will tell you where to install just two sticks.
Run memtest86+ to exercise the ram. I would expect no problems.
Then install your g.skil stick. Again, you motherboard manual will tell you where to install the third stick.
The last stick will run in slower single channel mode, but the benefits of added ram will be worth it.

Exercise again with memtest86+. It is a free download to a usb, cd or (gasp! floppy)

Ok so i look at the mobo manual and it only shows how to use 1 stick config, 2 stick and 4 stick. on my mobo i have a(starting from left to right looking at the mobo.

A black dimm slot that is empty
A blue dimm slot that has a 4gb corsair already in it.

Memtest86+ has already been preformed on the corsairs and the gskill. but not with all ram chip in it.
