Hi I am using a MagicJack device plugged into USB. Having some issues with it trying to decide if I need an external powered USB HUB. So I go into device manager, Select the correct root hub, check the power tab / power required and it says 0. How can this be? Both root hubs in fact say 0, but I have USB network adapters, MagicJack, and my external Altec speakers hooked up via USB also, how can all tabs show 0?

Solution
maybe the chipset drivers aren't installed and thus windows can't read it, or windows can't read that particular hub.

Either way, easy way to see if it's power, unplug all the other USB devices that might be sucking up power. try the magic jack. It works, then it's power :p
