Hi all,

The title says it all really. I want to install Steam itself on my SSD but I would like to install my games onto my storage HDD, is this possible to do? I did a brief Google search but all the threads I could find seemed to be about moving the entire steam program as well as the game library from one HDD to another, which is not what I am looking to do. Does anybody know if it is possible to set up steam in this way? Sorry if this seems like a silly question.

Thanks.

No....incorrect

Yes you can have Steam games in locations other than Steam itself.
In the Steam client:

Steam
Settings
Downloads
Steam Library Folders
Add Library Folder

I have 3 locations: 1 on the C drive (SSD), 1 on a secondary SSD, and the majority on a 2TB HDD.
