I recently purchased a new wireless network card to install on my desktop computer in this motherboard. My issue is that I have two PCIe slots but I realized too late that my current video card covers the second PCIe slot that I need to install it into because the first PCIe slot has a sound card in it. Is installing a single GPU into the second grey colored PCIe x16 and only that slot ok to do? In order to move it down to make room for the wireless card or should I just return it and get a basic PCI wireless card?

Thank you

You can install your X1 wireless card in the X16 slot.

Sometimes a secondary X16 slot will operate at reduced speed; you don't want to do that.

FWIW, I use the same card in a ITX motherboard in the X16 slot and it works fine.

Second slot only runs at x8 when another card is plugged to the first slot, if it is a single card, should operate at x16, but that depends on the model of the motherboard.
