I read few threads but can't find good answer.

How much more fps will I get if I overclock i5-4670k or i5-4690k?
Graphic card will probably be r9 280x and 8gb ram.

So how much bonus fps will I get from overclocking from 3.5ghz to 4.0ghz and which one is better for overclocking.(price is same in my country).

More about : overclock worth

Zero or only 1-2. The i5-4670K/4690K already is such a great CPU, that the graphics card is the side of it that is limiting the FPS.

You can't overclock either of those CPUs; Only k-series CPUs can be overclocked when it comes to Intel processors.

Also depends on the game you are trying to play. The ones that need a lot of CPU will benefit, but titles that are limited by GPU performance won't really notice a difference.

If you are referring to the K series chips, between the two they should both have about the same top limit. Aside from minor changes and a better thermal compound they are identical.

As Eduello mentioned, only -K CPUs can be overclocked and that also requires a Z-chipset mobo for the right generation (z87/z97) depending on the chip, you can get a 10~20% extra clock speed and performance over stock clocks, but it also will require better cooling solutions (than stock) to keep the chip from overheating at high loads.

With a i5, the fps you can get is largely determined by your graphics card, the display resolutions and your settings.

There are exceptions, IN BF3/4 for example, cpu overclock means little compared to the graphics card.
But in multiplayer, cpu becomes very important.

My take is the extra 5% that a "K" costs over a base cpu is worth it. A conservative overclock will gain you 20% more cpu capability.

Yes I was thinking on K version, because that is the only one that can be clocked.
What about speed perfomance for other things? Is it worth it to put extra 25$ for k version cpu,and about 50$ for a cooler master 212 EVO?

No. Any i5 can keep up with your R9 280x just fine. If you want to be more future-ready, sure go ahead and do it, but that also involves a more expensive motherboard, in the form of a Z97 motherboard.

That money would be better spent on a stronger GPU; No 4th gen i5 will limit any single GPU.

what is by your opinion, graphic card that is better then r9 280x,and doesn't cost more then 100$(coparing with r9 280x)?

I would say an R9 290. That will outperform the GTX 770s at a similar price, and it is a pretty good upgrade over the R9 280x.

I agree with Zircoben, Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($389.99 @ Newegg)

They are pretty close, but if they are the same price, I would definitely get the GTX 780.
