So my graphics card stops detecting every 3-4 days or so, only after reseating the graphics card and reseating the RAM or changing the slots does it start working again. So yesterday as my finger went to the power button, there was a spark... My PC didn't turn on for like 1 hour, it started working after an hour, but only when the HDMI is connected to the mobo/onboard graphics.

Now today I've been trying to get the graphics card to detect again, now I have a bigger problem, my Mobo now keeps saying over current detected usb, PC going to reset in 15 seconds, this is the case for my graphics card which I got it to detect briefly, but now even when I put the HDMI into the mobo it gives the same message.

Ive removed all the USB connections, still the same problem, planning to buy a new mobo, any help would be appreciated.

When I removed the graphics card, the pc is running fine no error messages, but when the graphics card is seated, it gives me the over current error message and the computer restarts in 15 seconds. Did the shock damage my GPU, is the mobo faulty ? I highly doubt it the mobo since it works without the graphics card.

Hmmm, well if the overcurrent message isn't a red herring then maybe the GPU is electronically malfunctioning, but it would be worth trying it in another slot just in case the slot itself is off, that mobo should have some more pcie x16 slots.

theres two more slots, but the on the bottom I can't fit the card there's no space, but when I tried the second one, theres signs of positivity, the pc doesnt shut down whilst the card is seated, but still theres no signal, I don't understand why theres no signal, everything's plugged in, it must be the GPU.
