Hello everyone,

Just a decision I would like help with. What GPU would you recommend with this setup?

My Setup:
Case - Corsair 760T

CPU - Intel Core i7 4930K
Motherboard - Asus Rampage IV Black Edition
RAM - Kingston HyperX Beast 2400MHz 32GB (4x8GB)
SSD - 2x 250GB Samsung EVO's
HHD - Seagate 3TB
Power Supply - Corsair RM1000 1000W

Now for the GPU do I go for:
TWO - GTX Titan Black 6GB Cards

OR

ONE - Sapphire Radeon R9 295X2 8GB Card

Please can you help me decide and can you please tell me why you specifically chose that GPU. Also if you could provide me with some benchmarks that may help too! :D

Thanks,
Harry,

Of course 4K gaming can be done. Not at high FPS but it can be done - Sort of defeats the purpose but it still can be done.

I have two 980s in SLI and a 4k TV... and all I can say is that I'm not entirely impressed. Sure I can play at 4k, but I generally have to turn down so many other awesome settings (shadows, SSAO, God Rays, PhysX, etc). Perhaps the games are not optimized well? The ones that do run decently are games like Tomb Raider. Assassin's Creed is a drag because I have to lower my settings. I never use AA because it is not needed with 4k, and that does help a little.

What I've decided to do in the mean time until a 900 series is released with more than 4GB of VRAM, is set the games to 1440p and max out everything else. Witcher 2 plays beautifully this way, even with Ubersampling, so its almost like playing in 4k. (At actual 4k, the Witcher 2, is completely unplayable for some reason). My TV upscales it automatically to 4k so it really doesn't look bad at all. With AA activated at 1440p the games look great, and run great.
