I am trying to repair a toshiba satellite A105-S4134 with Windows XP. After some diagnostics I recognized it has multiple windows folders one of which is taking up most of my hard drives storage, but isn't in use. I tried reinstalling windows and was unable to delete the partition. I also tried deleting the folders, but I'm unable.

Solution
Boot from the Windows install media (DVD or USB).
Delete ALL partitions, resulting in one large unallocated space.
Install to that, letting Windows create what it needs

Now....if you need to actually 'save' stuff from one of those existing Windows installs, that is a different situation.
But to fix it? Far faster and easier to just blow everything away and install fresh.
