Hi all. I want to plug in my PS3 Street Fighter IV Tournament Edition arcade stick to my PC. I've read that I need to buy a USB PCI card with a VIA chipset.I bought one, but it didn't fit on my MOBO. I've sent it back, but I don't know what I need to get this working. This is my MOBO:

ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Does anyone know what card I need that will actually fit into my PCI slot? Thanks.

Not entirely sure. But my bet is you bought a PCI card, when you really need a PCIe card.

I found one on amazon that has VIA listed, but seeing as I am not an expert in this matter , there is no guarantee this is what you are looking for.

Here's the link. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F4047NM/ref=as_li_t...

yeah. I realized too little too late that it was PCI. Would an adapter work as well you think?

I am not entirely sure. I have never dealt with this kind of device. The link I provided is just the PCIe version of the card you tried that didn't fit, so there is no real guarantee that it will work. But the beauty of amazon is if it doesn't work, return it.

Nevermind on the adapter, those are crazy expensive. I think what you suggested may work though. It looks like it's a VLI chipset, but from what i've been reading, it seems that it's supposed to be backwards compatible with VIA. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks for the help btw :)
