Hi,
I am building a PC next week, and I wanted to ask if the evga 500 watt PSU can support a intel i5 4670k and a evga gtx 760. If not, on amazon, what is the cheapest PSU that can support my parts?

Yes, that is the one! Ok, so it is fine, right? I do not have to change anything?

It should be passable, EVGA is not really strong on Power supplies I think FSP make power supplies for them. Down the road if you have extra green stamps you may want to pick up a XFX 550w model.

EVGA is one of the most trusted parts in computers in the market (I do not work for them), until know I have not seen any really bad product from that company, so, as SR-71 says...go ahead, that's an excellent brand and you are safe to go.

His current unit has 40a on 12v & 760 is fine on 30a requirement. Your upgrade choice is pointless. If you're going to go new go above a midget step or you're wasting money. Surely a gamer with a 760 and top end intel cpu plans to upgrade later. He's fine now, but if he ever upgrades the PSU I'd hope he'd aim higher than basically the same again with only another 5amps on 12v. That's not enough for me to call it an upgrade, more like a sidegrade. ;)  No comment here on either brand, just talking specs etc. Another $15-20 gets what I'd call an upgrade for real to support higher end gpus with room to breath while doing it.

Ok, thanks guys. So, I have decided not to upgrade it at all, and later.
