Solution

You should find out the size of fan the rear of your case can hold. From the look, its probably 92mm or smaller.

Can you also check to see if there is a mounting point on the inside of the...

A HD4850 would be a down grade from a HD7770.
Why would someone want to downgrade to play at minimum spec?
If i were the OP id look into overclocking the cpu a bit and look at picking up something like an R9 270 and maybe a better cpu cooler depending on what you are currently using.

I don't believe I said to downgrade. I pointed out that what he has is more than adequate.

Are you experiencing poor performance when playing these games?

If so what is happening?

What are your windows experience index scores?

my pc gets a bit sluggish to the point were it has a slower response time and has to load things a bit longer, bearing mind the amount of noise it makes playing sniper elite v2 on medium settings, its gets really loud and warm within a few minutes of playing.

When you say the PC, do you mean the whole case? or have you used CPUID to check the temps of the CPU & GPU?

Can you also check the windows experience scores?

After all that it donged on me that there could be another issue going on aside from needing a potential upgrade.

First thing you might want to do is open the case and make sure the dust is cleaned out of the case, the fans & the PSU (Everywhere). Make sure the fans are all working and spinning properly. No dust in the heatsinks. Keep space around the PC so it can get fresh air & try running it in a room that's about 75 degrees or less to create the optimal conditions.

To test your temps, just install CPUID HWmonitor and it will display the temps in an easy to read format for you. It will also tell you if your fans are spinning and how fast.

Cooling your PC down should have a positive impact on its performance.

Did you notice the performance issues for those 20 seconds?

The temps weren't too bad from what I could see, but that one fan is panting at 99% while 2 are showing 0%.

How many fans do you have installed?

Have you done the cable management & made sure the dust is cleaned out?

To score your windows experience index:

Click Start -> Right Click Computer/My Computer -> Under the system section you will see where to test it.

Were you going to cut the zip tie when you upgraded your PC?
