So, I got one 3 pin fan with the case and I'm going to get two more

The motherboard (ASRock 980DE3/U3S3) has a 4 pin chassis fan header and a 4 pin power fan header and the PSU has 4 molex connectors

Which connector fan type should I get?

How do I connect them to the PSU? (I was going to connect the 3 pin fan that came with the case to the mobo and the other 2 to the PSU)

Will a 3 pin connector work in a 4 pin header?

???

Thank you

Solution
You want to connect your fans to the headers on the mobo, so getting a splitter might be nice so that you could connect two fans to your header. They should go on the 3 left pegs of the 4 pin header I believe, verify with your manual. If you use a molex to 4 pin converter and plug your fans into the psu they will only ever run at max speed

So can I connect two fans to a splitter and connect the splitter to either the power fan header or the chassis fan header; and then connect the last fan to the other fan header?

Basically, what is the difference between the power fan and chassis fan headers?
