I need a gaming pc, made for Minecraft with 270+ mods (yes, I overdo it a little bit xD) GTA 4 with mods (possibly 5 when it comes out) and a bunch of other steam games. I need a big bit of storage space.

Now for the question: Is this a good gaming pc for my needs: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vpsWBm

Solution

IMO this is absolutely overkill cpu and Mobo for the older game you talked about and even some new games that come out. You could go with an i5-4670k it has 4 cores just like that i7 and is about $100 cheaper on Newegg. Change the mobo of course to correct the socket and you should have money left over which can be put to a 780 instead of a 770, And if you go with an i5 dont worry about bottlenecks there a thing of the past that rarely happen now unless you would pair a 780 with something like a Pentium g3220 dual core

All this being my opinion of ways to change the build of course but your build should be enough to handle it

Why in the world do you want a $350 motherboard? That is wasting money. That is also a Z87 board and I recommend the newer Z97.

You MUST get a better power supply. That is a terrible psu choice for such an expensive build. Find a SeaSonic, XFX, or Antec psu.

Try to get a Sapphire Vapor-X or Tri-X 290 instead of that Gigabyte. I would go with my Crucial ssd + two 2TB hard drives over your choice. Crucial is a much better brand ssd than that Kingston and you're less likely to lose 4TB of data on two 2TB drives than you are on a single 4TB drive.

That is not a very good cooler for overclocking that i7 and the thermal paste is unnecessary.
