I'm new to the PC building game and I'm looking to build something that can do everyday tasks and play games in good/great quality as well. A friend of mine told me to check out the DIY combos on Newegg.com, but I really have no idea what I'm doing. Should I wait a month and get a PC around 300-400 bucks or should I wait even longer and try to get something higher priced. I'm a college student in my senior year so money isn't the easiest to come by. Either way I need some recommendations on what I should be looking for.

Thanks!

If you can get $500-600, there is hope for a build that can do everything you want. If you build it yourself you get quality parts, it's cheaper, it's easy and I actually enjoyed my first build as scary as it was worrying if I'd"break" my $1000 PC lol.

If you can do things like post on craigslist that you are looking for a used PC/monitor/mouse/keyboard whichever, people will usually donate them or give them to you at a low price. Out of an old computer you might be able to reuse the HDD, Case and Ram when you make a new build.
