I've had my computer for a few months now (Since Nov. 2013) and Have been getting BSoD's / RSoD's for awhile now, but today I got fed up with it. I've had about 5-6 of them today. I've wiped my hard drive and installed Windows THREE times, and have tried different versions of video card drivers to get it working. Nothing seems to work. My BSoD error code is: 0xa00001. I've had others but that's the most common one and only one I can remember. I never get error codes on my RSoDs, it's just a flat red screen. It will stay there for a couple of seconds and then it will crash. This seems to happen most on Arma 3. It has happened on Arma 2 a couple of times, and I think only once on Garry's Mod. Counter Strike and other games don't crash usually. My GPU is an AMD R9 290.

It happened to my GPU a few times when I overclocked it too far. If you have an overclock then revert it back to stock. It could otherwise be a GPU fault. A good stress-tester is a game like Battlefield 4 or Crysis. You could alternatively use 3DMark which is free.

If it ran through 3Dmark then then next thing to test might be RAM. Have you run the sticks through memtest individually for 2 runs each?
