System specs:

Fx 4130 No OC stock settings

8gb Crucial Ram @ 1600mhz

7870 2GB OC edition

Mobo:970A-G46

Psu:Corsair CX600M 80+ bronze cert.

HDD:WD Blue 1TB

Firstly i asked here (i had a cheap 20euro PSU before) What might cause the lagging and the frame drops , so i was suggested to buy a new psu, because the pc might not get enough power.
So im back in this delemma.

Just installed Far cry 3 and battlefield 3 and i still have the same frame drops now and then.
I have constant 75fps+ and then suddenly fps drops to 20-30.
Drivers are fresh and new, all mobo drivers and everything is good to go and also temps are fine too.I dont even run games on 1080p because of 720p monitor.

The pc feels like my old core duo.

Is the drop occuring instantly, or when you've been in a game for some time? It might be heat issue as well.
Though i think i can definitely be the CPU as well since it's a bad one.
I'm guessing you are dropping in frames when you're inside a city example, or when in a massive battle in BF4? When you look out the water your FPS increases?

make sure you unpark the cores on your cpu, you will see a huge improvement. might feel like your old cpu because 2 cores are parked haha. ran into that with my FX 4300 and was like what the hell slow/laggy in BF3 then I unparked the cores with parking utility you can download and just WOW of a difference.

The fps drops randomly . No big cities or anything just randomly and the temps are fine .But is the cpu then that bad?I tried Mw3 and other older games,I cant run even on 91max stable FPS (Cod Mw3 cap is 91fps usually). And that even my old core duo is avalible to do with an 7770 and e7300 @ 3,3ghz

Well I mean its not going to perform like the FX 6300 or 8350 or anything....there will be some bottle-necking in some games... my fx 4300 does it too...you gotta remember you are at stock speeds too though.....you need to OC some if you can then they really come alive.

Iv noticed,i know alot of cpus and such, i just tought i could hear some issues by other owners of this cpu, because in here this cpu is really uncommon, most people go for intel i3/i5 or even i7.

I only bought this CPU because all the reviews were so positive about this cpu.But now im reading an 50 EUR intel cpu gets the same fps at the same games or even better (intel G series).Nobody on the reviews told me that the cpu has issues in games. And also bought it because i tought i could save some money for a month or two.I am upgrading anyway just wanted to know about does anyone else have these really bad cons.

But thanks for all answering:)

Ps:Tried all the things mentioned above, OC'ing etc etc, nothing seems to work.
What worked the best really, woes OC'ing everything by auto OC settings, and that actually boosted up 10+fps.
Now in run far cry 3 ultra(Some settings lowered and also 720p) 45-55 fps instead of 30 to barely 45.
But still have these drops now and there.

Now only part what im worried about is if i get an FX 8300/8350 or need to buy a new mobo and an intel series i5 or better cpu.Because i havn't seen real life perfomance of an fx 8**0 series cpu.I own a intel i3 3110m laptop and an i5 2400 desktop Pc and they are wonderful and never let me down.
