Assuming it's paired with a reasonable graphics card, absolutely. It would go nicely with an R9 280/GTX 760.
I have a 6300 at 4.2 and a msi 760 paired together and playing ac4 I get between 35 and 70 for maxed out. I can play any game on ultra settings or very high at 1080p. I highly recommend the combo even if your not over clocking but I will say I really like physx, coming from a console it's a super nice touch
