Hi, this is my ~1500$ pc build, this is my first build so if you have any suggestions please tell me :p
*Note: I live in Australia so the prices might be a little wacky

Case: Cooler Master N600 Windowed ATX Mid Tower ($89)
CPU Cooler : Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO ($39)
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K ($385)
GPU: MSI Radeon R9 280X 3GB TWIN FROZR ($369)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB ($159)
RAM: ADATA XPG V2 16GB (2 x 8GB) (On newegg) ($183.14 )
Power Supply: Silverstone Strider Plus 750W 80+ Silver Certified Fully-Modular ($139)
MB: Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($169)

parts list: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/soofness/saved/LkrcCJ

This build will be used mainly for gaming but also running 3d modeling programs and other intensive programs (im assuming they are CPU intensive, hence the i7). I have plans of installing a second HDD but im trying to limit my self to start so i dont fill it up with absolute Cr@p again... i have 2tb external

is the 4770k an easy overclocker? (i would like to mess around with it, free power, why not?)

i plan on playing games like bioshock infinite and borderlands.

i have all the peripherals needed already as well as windows, i would also like the psu to be 700w + for futureproofing for crossfire when the day comes

and last and least important is i would like to keep the yellow black colour scheme but that was just how it worked out

finally should i put off buying it for the release of the haswell refresh either to get the new CPU or just wait for a drop in price of the 4770k

THANKS for your help in advance :p

Yeah the i7 was mainly for the 3d work.... but now that i think about it they are mostly only single threaded anyway, so that might be a good idea, even if its just the 4570K, do you happen to know the advantages of the refresh (better power consumption, faster, breathes fire etc....) :p thanks

Not in Australia though, it's like $40 extra for the 2 gb version and $110 for the cheapest 4gb, i forgot to mention that im running at 1440p which they should handle none the less right? and it also comes back to the future proofing, the board is only crossfire i believe :p but thanks so much for your help :p

EDIT: i did find this however and its still a saving with shipping included http://www.newegg.com/global/au/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125462R&cm_re=770-_-14-125-462R-_-Product
but how sketchy are neweggs open box sales?

Not sketchy at all. I bought a 650 ti refurbished from newegg and it works fine and oc'd very well. It says unavailable for me but if the price is right that looks like a great card!

PS No I don't work for them, just a big fan!

that's a tiny bit out of my price range (roughly $1800 in Australia) but a very good build, i'll have to look at the 4690k closer, it seems much better
