im going to be building a new comp and was wondering if and how can i take a hard drive from an old computer and use it as my main hard drive on my new build. im pulling a 1tb HDD hard drive out of a gateway computer so i dont have to spend money on a new one. and i dont care about any of the data on the hard drive im not trying to save anything on it just plan on reinstalling windows 7 and everything else. im buying the OS with the rest of my computer parts
.thanks for the help

would i have to completely wipe the hard drive. ive read it can cause issues with hardware when you plug in a hard drive that dosent have the right drivers and everything.

It shouldn't be an issue. I would reinstall the operating system in the new system.
