Good day all. I recently started having issues with my office application. It first started with word. I could not edit doc or docx files created by other users but i could open word or any office files that I created , whenever i tried to open such files i had an error about there not being enough quota (this error was prompted by TuneUp Utilities 2014 which i had installed at the time). So i uninstalled TuneUp and restarted my computer and no office application opens. Whenever i try to open my any word file (mine included) I get an error saying "windows could not find the file specified" even though i clicking the said file.

Did you uninstall previous version before reinstalling. If you uninstall it will remove registry entries and rewrite the registry entries on the new install.

Also are you using the 64 bit version of Office (Word)? it will install in the Program files folder if 64 bit and I believe it's the Program files (X86) if Office is 32 bit.

I did uninstall the previous version, restarted my computer and then re-installed.
Im using the x64 bit version as i own a x64 bit computer. It was installed in program files. In one of my re installations i selected program files (x86) and it still doesn't work :(

Already tried contacting them. It seems the problem is spreading. I can't open other programs as well. e.g iTunes, Zune player, etc I keep getting the same error message as in the screenshot. Sadly, my restore points are the automatic ones created by windows and the latest dates back to a time when the problem had begun. I really wish someone could help.

windows defender comes up empty with every scan. I'm thinking a refresh should be my last option. Re-installing windows is out of the question for me.
