Hello everyone,

First i'd like to let you knoww that i am new to this forum and any help to help me get better with it would be appreciated. My name is jesse and i am 16 years old and life in the netherlands. First i'll let you guys know what i am dealing with. (if you don't need all the info just skip to ''HERE IS MY QUESTION'' )

Two weeks ago i build my gaming pc with a friend of mine. It was build good and running smoothely, i had to put the PS in a little different so the air woud blow in my pc instead of out, because i had it on carpet. After a gaming session of three hours my PS-fan started making a lot of noise, like it was blowing a lot of air. I think that this is because it is too hot but i am not sure.

Because it was so noisy and i thought it was because my pc had a too high tempature i bought the ''Coolermaster Jetflo 120 redled''. yesterday i put my pc on my desk and turned the PS the normal way (air blowing out of my PC). i also installed the ''CMjetflo''. the ''CM-Jetflo'' came with two adapters, one of 1600 RPM and one of 1200 RPM, installed it with 1200 RPM but still found it verry noisy so i downloaded ''Speedfan'' to try to change the fan speed. (i am running on windows 7 64x)

***NOW HERE IS MY QUESTION***[/b]

When i start up speedfan i only can change my GPU fan ( http://puu.sh/9AiG1/e0cc51d271.png )
Fan 1, 2 and 3 are not there. So what do i need to do to let me change the CM-jetflow speed. Also i would like to know the CM-jetflow i have installed what fan is it (1, 2 or 3?)

I hope someone can help me with this problem.

Serencly Jesse

Speed fan can only control fans connected to outputs that support PWM (your gpu has its own control scheme that can be overridden by speedfan or via AMD/nvidia software) or similar control schemes by your motherboard. Many 3 pin fan connections on a variety of motherboards will simply provide power to the fans and are not be controllable through software. Though the can be physically controlled by using a fan controller.

Often these will take up one of the front bay slots like a cd/bluray disk drive, but they can come in very handy when deciding that either performance or quietness is preffered

It likely depends on the motherboard. It wont hurt the fan or anything so go ahead and give it a shot, then you will atleast know for certain.
