Hello everybody!

What do you think about these Hardware's are they decent bundle to buy?

I have:

  • ■AMD Sabretooth 990FX Motherboard
    ■AMD FX-8150 Eight Core Processor - 3.60GHz, 16MB, L3 Cache, Socket AM3+
    ■16 GB Ram
    ■Gigabyte 780 GTX
    ■Samsung 256GB 840 Pro Series
    ■Evo Labs - Pentium P4 Model:E-800MB (800w) PSU

I am interested in upgrading my Motherboard and CPU.

Or is there something better in the "1150 z97 Socket motherboard"

My friend from Sweeden never heard of ROG series he recommends that i buy MSI or Gigabyte because it will work better with my GFX card so I'm wondering what are your suggestions?

Thank you very much for your time and if there is anything else i need upgrading please let me know! =)

yu want the 4790 cpu. it has newer heat paste under the cpu lid to run cooler. the asus rog is there gaming line. msi motherboards I find are thiner then then asus or gigbyte. the asus mb have very easy t use efi bios and usb flashback.
if the bios gets damaged you dont need to boot into the bios to fix it just a usb stick and standby power.
you need a haswell tested power supply. if not yu have to turn off low power sleep state in the bios. when haswell go to sleep they pull such little power that the older power supply cant output that low.

I agree with i7baby for the most part. Though since that motherboard is SLI- or crossfire-capable, I'd say get yourself a good 850W PSU made by Seasonic, XFX, or Corsair. This way, you can give yourself a graphics upgrade in a couple of years when future games demand it by simply adding another GTX 780.

Also, with the exception of their ROG laptops, ROG is among Asus' top quality products.

If you're not going for big or any overclocks, you should really check out the Asus Z97-A motherboard with the i7 4790K. It is SLI-ready and has analog surround sound outputs for PC surround speaker systems (requiring no receiver). It also costs substantially less than the Asus ROG:

The Z97-A motherboard is really everything most people need in a flexible / upgrade-able system.

Basically i will be gaming a lot and using Photoshop and editing videos so yeah im deffo sticking with I7 4490k,

But as for the mobo well hmm..im not really sure...and as for a PSU erm what (Watts) would you recommend..? since my GFX card requires 600w?

If you are considering a future multi-GPU setup, definitely get a power supply for it. I don't like to limit myself to current gen wattage requirements or wattage requirements for only AMD or Nvidia. Current R9 290xs at stock speeds can use 300W each. This is why I recommend the 850W as a general rule for an SLI or Crossfire setup. This way, you're not really locked into any brand's tech based on some current wattage requirement.

If you know you're not going to build a system with a multi-GPU setup, you could stick with a 600W or 650W power supply and look at micro-ATX boards and save even more there. Most people don't need all of the PCIe slots offered on a full-sized ATX board.

Will you run an SLI or crossfire setup at any point with this system?

If not, you might consider this:

It still offers the analog surround sound connections.

Hmm yeah i guess but i think I'm going to be sticking with ATX format mobo but erm what do you people prefer or suggest to get MSI, Gigabyte or ROG? (but yeah i would like it mainly for gaming)

and i doubt i will need to run a multi gpu setup since GTX 780 can handle most things lol

ROG is the best. Asus is top-quality to begin with. ROG is their high-end gaming line of products.
