Hello,

My PC Specs--
AMD 3.5 AM3+ FX 6-Core Edition FX-6300
8Gb DDR3 ram
Nvidia gtx 650 ti boost 2gb
1TB HDD
MOtherboard-Asus m5a97 LE

(I have only the stock cooler+3 cabinet fans)
My cpu temp at idle is usually 25c and 40-45 while gaming.

Is it safe for me to overclock.Or should i buy a processor cooler?
If i have to buy a processor cooler,
I was thinking of buying Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO Cooler because it fits my budget.(is it ok for overclocking if not please suggest another one).

Thnx.

Solution
If you overclock, you will definately need a cpu cooler. You don't mention what psu you have, but as long as can provide about 40a on the 12v rail, you should be fine.

When you start to o/c, make sure you get a correct application of TIM (thermal interface material - between cpu and heatsink). Once you have gotten the TIM correctly applied, test the system at stock speeds and monitor your temps. If the temps are the same or better than you have now, begin your o/c in small steps. At each step, test, monitor, rinse and repeat.

As far as your case cooling, just make sure you have positive case pressure (more intake than exhaust).

Just take is slow and evaluate each step.
