I bought a Lenova laptop that came loaded with Win 7 with no recovery disk. I purchased the computer from an Amazon retailer. It included a Win 8 disk--I'd rather not use Win 8. I made a revovery disk of the Win 7 from the laptop. Can I use that same Win 7 recovery disk to also load Win 7 onto my HD desktop computer? And no, I don't have a key code.

Or burn the disc yourself from the ISO you'll get a link to when you buy the license. That is unless you want to pay the extra cash the retailers usually want for the convenience of having the physical media shipped to you, not to mention waiting for it to arrive.
