According to HWMonitor A8 5600k idles around 42 C and can hit up to about 73 C when on load normally from a game like Witcher 2, even a standard game like Batman Arkham City temperature will idle in the 60 C. Any suggestions? Do APU's just run ridiculously hot? Is HWMonitor inaccurate? HWmonitor only shows one core which is strange. I have a hyper 212, lots of fans, Phantom Full Tower. I highly doubt thermal compound needs to be reapplied. Not a standalone APU 7870 does the graphics. All game runs extremely smooth. Thing is running HOT! according to HWMonitor, but performance has been perfect. BIOS temps range from 27 C to 41 C. Of course can only see BIOS temps when in BIOS. I've read around the forums and review cites, 5600k seems to have heat issue with a large majority of users. Some said they gamed in the 70 C to 80C. AMD's websites max C is 74. Any opinions?
