Recently installed graphics card is slowing my computer down. Any ideas why?

Hi
My pc was running great until i installed a new graphics card. But now the pc it is a lot slower than before
Any ideas what could be causing this to happen please.

Windows 7 64 bit
Mother board M68mt-s2
Processor AMD Athlon (Tm) II x 4 640 processor (4 cpu) 3.0~ghz
Memory 8192 Ram ddr3 (1333mhz)
Radeon r7 260x

Your graphics card is fairly fast, and your cpu is fairly slow. Go to amd's website and download the latest driver here:http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
What power supply are you using? It might not have enough juice. Look at the label on the side of it

If so, the software should fix it. Tell when it's done. Before that, go into device manager, display adapters, right click, and uninstall.

Awesome, your set. Just keep in mind the motherboard/cpu is the bottleneck, so when you have the chance, upgrade the motherboard to a ga78lmt-usb3 and the processor to a fx4300. Download almost done?

Yep. The ddr3 will almost definitely work. Also, actually go with the 6300 and not the 4300. Maybe before that buy a cooler like the hyper tx3.

also, is your case decent? If it fits your motherboard now, it'll fit that. So just maybe in a few months upgrade case or something.
