Helllo, Firstly i would be very grateful for any help!

I have a 4 year old Foxconn g31mx with 4 gb 1 year old kingston ram(the one ones died). Intel dual core processor. Ocz 500watt psu.

Computer was working great, HSF failed causing a reboot, but i turned off as soon as i realised. 1 minute max.

Anyway, replacement HSF fitted and all blown out. Now refuses to go. Tried lots! now have it stripped down to just the psu cpu and 1 stick of ram. The only way i can get it to play ball a little is to remove cmos battery, wait 10 then it will start to boot, but powers off at randomly. Won't go for more than 1 minute, sometimes only seconds.

Now its failing to even post.

I am fast running out of knowledge and patience.

To add,

Tested all the voltages from the PSU with a voltmeter, they are as they should be.
Tried without HDD.
Alternated memory sticks.
Graphic Card, CD drive etc removed.
Tried a difference CPU, but mobo doesn;t seem to like it.

Really need to get this going as, my accounts software was on the hdd and i can't boot from another pc or just pull off the data as its made a mutiple files. I know, should have backed it up more often.

PSU's need to be tested under load. Just swap in a known working one.

I don't have a spare lying around and didn't want to order one just to try. Is it likely to be as simple as that?
