I am on a work network
The Windows Vista machinecan see my machine and all the drives
On my Windows 7 machine I can see the Vista machine but if I click on a drive like C:
I get the message Windows cannot access\\computer name\c. You do not have permission ,etc...

I can access the Public drive on the Vista machine but not the drives.

What silly mistake am I making?

Yes, if you are on a domain, you need to add rights for the domain user, if on a workgroup, the local PC account that you are using to connect. Or set the rights to Everyone although that leaves a bit of a security hole as anyone that can connect to the computer can get to those files.
