Finding win8.1 product key

I'm changing my motherboard, so I need the product key to reactivate windows. No sticker on or inside the case and nothing in the documentation.
It's a Medion pre-assembled and installed machine.

At the bottom of my System page it shows a key for win 8.1.
Is this what I want? Will it suffice to reactivate windows?
It seems obvious but everything I've googled says the key is hard to find in the registry.
Thanks.

Solution
For a preinstalled 8 or 8.1, it is indeed licensed to that original motherboard.
You'll probably have to go through the manufacturer for an install disk and key. Talk to them and see what happens.

That still doesn't get around the issue of:
1. Not having an install disk
and
2. That key being licensed to that original motherboard.

Thanks for the feedback. I have a recovery disk that came with the pc. Will that do?
I'm still trying to work out what actually happens when I restart windows with my new motherboard.

That's exactly what it says, unfortunately.

So, I need the key from Medion as well as an installation disk.
Would I be right in saying they don't have to provide either?

Thanks for the responses.

I 'think' they actually have to provide the key. Install media may be a different thing, though.
