I upgraded my computer to: i5 4690, gtx780 and z97 asus sabertooth mark 2 motherboard and left my memory ddr3 1333 in it. Is it to slow for this config? Will i see improvements in games if i get faster memory. If so, how much.

You will get 1 or maybe 2 frames per second more with 1600 ram. No, it is not worth replacing good memory for gaming, the graphics card memory is ddr5 and thats what counts.

I read anandtech tests where they show graphs of games like dirt 3 where there is 15% difference in performance between 1333 and 1866.
I really dont want to spend any more money upgrading but if the difference is visible then i have to. I dont want the memory holding back my system.

Here, read this toms hardware benchmark tests with different speed rams and different games

From those tests there is almost no difference between ram speed. Am i reading it right?

Correct, Although you can increase the memory bandwidth up and up, it requires higher and higher latencies. So your ram could be at 3200mhz but wouldn't matter if the cad latency was very high like 14. Higher memory bandwidths generally benefit photo and video editing programs but does almost nothing to games.

The anandtech tests were probably using an integrated graphics processor (on board graphics).
Faster ram would help there because there is no graphics card hi speed ram to use.
