I have a Gigabyte EX58-UD4P which has 6 tripple channel slots for memory. I want to fill it with 6x 8GB for a total of 48GB. I know 24GB is recommended but I have seen sum discussion of people doing this. I have 2 questions what is the best 8GB modules to use, and what happens to the tripple channel, does it stay tripple or drop to double channel, is there a speed drop?

''6 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 24 GB of system memory'' (as gigabyte says) not ''recommended'' as you say!. that means 4gb per slot. why do you think it will run double that size!?

Well I have seen both forum discussions and youtube video's showing that it is possible. I just wanted to see if anyone was out there who could share their experience and maybe provide some details on what memory they used.
