Questions on this build

Hi, I have a build that I have some questions on. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/frequ/saved/WLm323
Ok first I'm wondering whether I should go with fx4300, which is cheaper, or the fx6300. I chose the 4 core in this build as most of the games I play only uses 2 cores. But if the 6 core is so much better then I guess I could get it.
I am also looking to overclock. Is this after market cooler good enough to push it to 4.5 ghz ( I've never oced btw ). Would also like to oc the GPU. Would I need another fan/s for that?
As of know we ( me and my dad, mostly dad) have an $800 budget ( Dad doesn't want to spend anymore ). So I was wondering if this current build ( don't know how to phrase ) has good upgradability ( ex. Don't have to change mobo, case , will probably have to change CPU) . I plan to switch to a better GPU (280x maybe) and crossfire that, once I have the sufficient funds.
This pc will be used for office/school work, gaming, streaming and uploading vids. (Games I play the most are sc2, lol, and bf3) Thanks for the help :)

Get the FX-6300. You can save money on the cooler by getting the Hyper212 Plus (the previous version, little different) for $20 after MIR, or get the Masscool 120mm tower for $22 (no rebate needed). As you can see, the frequently parroted Hyper212 EVO is a bang/buck Loser.
For future reference, do be aware that a 970 board is not good for Crossfire; you'll need a more expensive 990X or 990FX. I would not plan on running multiple cards; I've not a bigtime twitch gamer, but I've never needed to do it myself.

It has a better upgrade path rather than going with AMD and it's around the same price.

indeed, and has upgrade ability but you should get at least a r9 270x.

i asked what motherboard because if you have a 970 its hardly worth to upgrade on and most cannot handle overclocking well.

I considered it, but that price after rebate is hard to beat. Also the difference really isn't much, maybe a few fps ( might even be the same or better in some games) and he plans to upgrade to a 280x or something similar later on.

could just put the i3 on a cheaper lga 1150 and get the r9 280x or even a nvidia 770 for about the same price that will perform beyond the 280x

He's planning on overclocking and using crossfire later on, so something cheaper probably wouldn't be an option. Also the money saved from getting the cheapest motherboard possible still wouldn't be enough to upgrade the graphics card to a 280x or GTX 770.

If you plan to run two cards, you'll need a more powerful PSU.
That's a decent motherboard choice.
As mentioned, the cooler you've selected is a bang/buck Loser, even against the same company's own offerings; that's only going to amount to $8-$10 though, and none of them are bad.

Ehh on my phone right now so I don't know how to edit posts but should I stick (in the future) 280x crossfire. When I was first building this I was planning on SLI but mobo was not capable. This new one is and was planning to gtx 760 sli in the future.

your probably right about the pricing.. just from the knowledge i have gained from toms since i had built my computer it is really best to order the best video card you can get first if you are on a budget even if it sits in it's box for a month.

Careful, it might have been run half to death as a mining card.
Alternately, note the customer Q&A; could be a scam.

Don't know how to quote on phone but what do you mean by this?

I posted a card earlier that was at a price too good to be true and it was. He's not talking about your 760.
