This may sound weird but i am telling you exactly what happened
i had a gigabyte radeon hd 7770 1gb gddr5 rev 2.0
the recommended power supply was 450 watts i had cooler master oem 400
now i got this new dell monitor s2240L and connected it through hdmi
it worked fine until i was playing call of duty 4 online at 1920*1080 resolution
the screen blacked out and the keyboard shortcuts and everything stopped working and the screen read no connection detected or something like this only.Basically my system was running and there was no connection coming from my gpu
i found out that the gpu's fan had stopped spinning i even tried it on my friends pc but no luck
currently m using my onboard dvi port to connect my monitor
what do i do? :??:
there are no gigabyte radeon service centers here either :fou:

It did not die because of the HDMI, it died from the fan not spinning, which should be covered by warranty.

Contact Gigabyte and RMA that card.
