i have unlocked an amd athlon x3 460 cpu into a phenom x4 b60. the thing is that the temperature before the unlock was 40C idle and now it is still the same BUT it had no crashes it reaches a max temp of 58C and it is stable is this temp normal for an unlocked CPU?
the cooler is a stock one from a fx 6300
motherboard is ASRock 980DE3/U3S3
temps are coming from bios readings and HWmonitor,AIDA64,and CoreTemp readings

Once you unlock your CPU temperature readings can become quite screwy. There is also no such thing as "normal" for an unlocked CPU. The core was locked for a reason, there are a variety of reasons to lock a core, some are fatal for the core some are not. Your CPU could have leakier transistors in that core that results in much higher heat production when it is in use.
