I'm kind of at my wit's end. The same problem happened with BF3, and has now happened in BF4 (I'm over 220hrs, it just started happening). My builds between when I played BF3 and 4 are completely different (i7 950/6GB RAM/GTX460 to my now 4770k/16GB RAM/770 4GB).
Issue was, the game would just completely hang, then a pop-up would appear saying my GPU hung. Fairly common problem online, no worries, update (and revert) graphic drivers, put everything back to stock, no dice. I have also update all game files, reinstalled/reverted DX (from BF4 directory).
Now, however, after a few minutes of gameplay my entire pc will just freeze, with an audio loop, and I've waited up to 30 mins but it's just dead, so a hard reboot is required. Does not happen with any other game (Far Cry 3, Fallout 3, Dragon Age: Origins, CSS etc.) just BF4. It doesn't even happen with BF3 (I still have installed).
